Prospect Park Yard SaleS

Yard Sale Days
Weekend of June 15-16, 2024
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine

This year's Yard Sales is combining with the neighbhorhood Garden Walk. Locations are available here on this downloadable map (PDF [3.6MB]).

Begun in 2014, Yard Sales Days continues as a volunteer effort typically held the weekend around the Summer Solstice in June. This event helps people find new-to-them treasures and clean out usable household items from the neighborhood.

Registration is now open for the 2024 Prospect Park yard sales. The sales will be held June 15-16 to coincide with the Garden Club’s annual Garden Walk. Advertised time will be 9am-4pm Saturday and 9am-3pm Sunday.

As the weather warms and spring cleaning shifts into full swing, consider holding off on that trip to the donation center and setting those items aside for a yard sale instead! Clean items that are dusty or dirty, and price them as you set them aside to make setup easier the day of the sale. Also start to gather boxes or bags for shoppers to use.

Past Yard Sales

In 2022, Yard Sales teamed up with the neighborhood EcoTour. In 2021, Yard Sales teamed up with the Garden Walk and also the Home Tour to maximize on the foot traffic in the neighborhood that weekend. Locations of Yard Sales that participate were featured on a map available at local shops and at all sale sites. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

Past Tailgate Sales
In past years the Tailgate Sale was held in the Pratt School parking lot as an adjunct to the Yard Sales. This was a great option if you didn’t have a good place to set up a sale at home, or for folks who were renters or apartments dwellers who did not have a yard or garage to sell from like homeowners or you just didn’t have enough stuff to justify setting it all up. Those participating in the tailgate sale brought their items to the Pratt parking lot, found a place to park, and then opened their trunks and tailgates and sold from there! It was a good idea to bring a small table or blanket to put your items out on, plus a chair to sit on.
